IBM has partnered with Boehringer Ingelheim, a pharmaceutical company to utilizes blockchain technology for clinical recordkeeping. The Vice President of Boehringer Ingelheim (Canada), Dr Uli Broedl explained, “The clinical trial ecosystem is highly complex as it involves different stakeholders, resulting in limited trust, transparency and process inefficiencies without true patient empowerment.”
